1st Logo (1989-1991)

Visuals: On a zooming space background, several gold filmstrips quickly fly in one by one. Afterwards, they "explode" and turn into the golden SouthGate Entertainment logo, which has a tree and the word "SOUTHGATE" in a Playhouse Video-esque font. The word "ENTERTAINMENT' was seen below.

Variant: An in-credit variant exists.

Technique: CGI and Cel-animation.

Audio: A dramatic fanfare is heard, followed by loud whoosh sounds when the filmstrips fly in. It is followed by an explosion-like sound and a horn note.

Availability: Can be seen on tapes from this company such as Syngenor, The Cellar, Mutant on the Bounty, and The Outside Chance of Maximilian Glick, among others.

2nd Logo (1989-1991)

Visuals: On a black background, the screen zooms to the logo from the first one but colored.

Technique: 2D animation.

Audio: None.

Availability: Seen on Norman's Awesome Experience (AKA: A Switch in Time) and Lethal Pursuit, among possible others.
