Background

South Park Digital Studios was founded in 2007 as a joint venture between Matt Stone and Trey Parker's South Park Studios and Viacom (now Paramount Global) to license and produce games and digital content based on the South Park franchise, in addition to licensing the series to streaming services such as Hulu and Max.

1st Logo (October 7, 2009; December 10, 2012)

Visuals: Over a black background, there are Eric Cartman's eyes in a rectangular box with the text "SOUTH PARK" next to it, and "DIGITAL STUDIOS" below it. This looks similar to South Park Studios' original logo.

Variant: On the second trailer of South Park: The Stick of Truth, Cartman's eyes are closer to the border. Also, the logo is slowly zooming forward.

Technique: A still digital graphic.

Audio: None. The opening theme of the trailer for a variant.

Availability: Seen on South Park Let's Go Tower Defense Play! and the second trailer of South Park: The Stick of Truth (said game uses the next logo instead).

2nd Logo (March 30, 2012-)

Visuals: On a black background, there are four blocky, abstract shapes that represent the main characters of South Park (Stan Marsh, Kyle Broflovski, Eric Cartman, and Kenny McCormick in that order). "SOUTH PARK DIGITAL STUDIOS" is seen below in a white, retro pixel font.

Trivia: As of 2020, the logo is also used for the South Park website, as it is also operated by South Park Digital Studios.

Variants:

  • On South Park: Tenorman's Revenge (the first game with this logo), the background is dark gray.
  • On South Park: The Fractured But Whole, the text is drawn in a line-by-line printer effect.
  • On South Park: Phone Destroyer, the logo shares the screen with the Ubisoft Entertainment and Ubisoft RedLynx logos.
    • On a trailer of said game, flame progresses through the main logos.

Technique: A still digital graphic.

Audio: None.

  • On South Park: The Stick of Truth and South Park: Snow Day!, there is a fast, upbeat, six-note guitar sting that is heard on most episodes of the show.
  • On South Park: The Fractured But Whole, there is printer sounds as the text appears.
  • On a trailer of South Park: Phone Destroyer, a narration is heard.

Availability:

  • Seen on South Park: Tenorman's Revenge, South Park: The Stick of Truth (the 2nd trailer uses the previous logo), South Park: The Fractured But Whole and South Park: Phone Destroyer.
  • It doesn't appear on South Park Pinball.
