1st logo (1950's-1960's)

Visuals: On a gray background, there is a 3D, four-pointed star with a white "星明" surrounded by a moving sunburst effect behind it and a flashing, circular star pattern around the star. Underneath all of that is a dark filmstrip containing "司公業企影電". The stars in said star pattern eventually all fade in individually, shining from right to left.

Technique: 2D animation.

Audio: A heroic and bombastic orchestral fanfare.

Availability: Unknown. [Examples?]

2nd logo (January 1, 1966-1973)

Visuals: Against a sky blue wall is a simplistic version of the previous logo, which is the same 4-pointed star but in golden surrounded by a circular star pattern releasing a flashing sunburst pattern and "星明" in red and with a white border underneath. Below all of that is a black pattern with the same Cantonese text but in gold, and underneath the filmstrip is the company's name "STAR MOTION PICTURE DEVELOPMENT CO." in English and in gold.

Variant: A B&W variant exists on The Golden Sun.

Technique: Practical effects.

Audio: Same as the 2nd logo, albeit higher pitched.

Audio Variant: The Lucky Purse uses the opening theme of the film.

Availability: Seen on their films such as The Lucky Purse, The Golden Bat, Return of the Golden Bat, Gold Button, and The Golden Sun.
