Background
Pierrot Co., Ltd. (株式会社ぴえろ), is a Japanese animation studio established in May 1979 by Yuji Nunokawa, previously an animator and director for Tatsunoko Production. Its headquarters are located in Mitaka, Tokyo.
The studio was named after the famous French clown Pierrot. Nunokawa chose the name in honor of a circus troupe he saw as a child.
Logo (October 14, 1981-)
Visuals: An in-credit logo featuring "スタジオぴえろ" texts with his wordmark.
Variants:
- On Star Musketeer Bismark and Ninja Robot Tobikage, the logo is include the "Clown face" emblem to the left of it.
Technique: Superimposed animation.
Audio: The opening or closing theme of the show.
Availability: Can be seen on television series
