Background

Zhongshan Subor Educational Electronics Co., Ltd. (中山市小霸王教育电子有限公司) is a hardware manufacturer based in Zhongshan, Guangdong Province which was founded in 1987. The company is most famous for its Famiclone devices and console clones, which range from standard consoles to keyboard-based PC models and handheld devices. Subor also produces educational games and modern plug-and-play devices.

Logo (1997)

Visuals: A space background appears by a square transition, consisting of a starfield, the blue Earth at the bottom, and other two planets shown near the corners with a blue shining star near the upper-right. The logo of the company is shown above the center, consisting of a white semicircle with two red boxing glove-like objects standing on the sides at the upper half touching each other; below is the Chinese characters "小霸王" positioned as an arc at the bottom of the semicircle. Next to the logo is the white/red registered mark. Soon after, the same Chinese characters "小霸王" appear wiping in below the logo from the center to the sides, in a straight position, colored in red with a small white 3D-style border. The logo stays on-screen for a while, before it wipes out to the menu screen.

Technique: 8-bit computer animation.

Audio: Dramatic sci-fi style synth music, accompanied by a young announcer speaking in Chinese.

Availability: It is seen when booting up the SB-2000 keyboard model.
