Background
Syrian Television is the first television station to broadcast in Syria, part of the General Organization of Radio and TV which was founded in July 1960. Broadcasts were in black and white until 1976. In 1995, the channel relaunched its operations after moving to satellite services. As of now, little else is known about the channel.
