1st Logo (1983-1990)

Visuals: Against a starfield, there is a blue two-dimensional globe zooming away from us, rotating counterclockwise as a blue laser box flashes out of the globe and flies towards the camera upside down, as the text "© HK-TVB International Ltd. 1983" appears in the lower right corner. The text disappears as the blue laser box flies up towards the globe and positions itself, as the current starfield changes to another starfield. Next, red, green, and blue lasers hit the globe, causing a set of white stars to explode out of the box. Next, the HK-TVB International logo fades in, and the text "An HK-TVB International Ltd. Distribution" fades in below the logo. It either appears in Chinese or English (but not both), depending on the tape. Towards the end of the logo, the starfield stops moving.

Technique: CGI.

Audio: A 70s-like funky theme.

Availability: Seen on old TVB International releases from the era. [Examples?]

2nd Logo (1990)

Visuals: Against a white background, there is a white rounded square with three colors in the circle that make up the TVB logo in black, and the text "Distributed by TVB International Limited" below the logo.

Technique: A still, computerized graphic.

Audio: None.

Availability: Unknown. [Examples?]

3rd Logo (1990-1996)

Visuals: Against a dark blue background, there is a three-dimensional globe zooming out from the side, rotating clockwise. From the sides is the text "TVB International" scrolling clockwise around the globe, and as the "TVB" reaches the top, it rotates downward, and the "International" also moves forward to the bottom, as the blue and red colors of the sphere scroll in from the right, and the green color from the left. The white rounded square that makes up the completed logo appears to finish the logo.

Technique: CGI.

Audio: A majestic horn fanfare.

Availability: Appeared on various releases during the 1990s. [Examples?]

4th Logo (1996-2016)

Visuals: On the left of the screen, there's the right side of a clear blue three-dimensional globe rotating in reverse, with its mirror image on the right, with two black vertical lines. The text "TVBI" floats around the globe, which we also see in the mirror to the right. As the text clears, the mirror rotates towards the camera and the globe cuts away (revealing the mirror images of Asia and Australia) in the sphere that makes up the TVB logo and the white square is also seen. The "TVBI" text floats down towards the camera one letter at a time, as the globe fades into the three colors that make up the logo. The completed logo appears on a sky background zooming back, as the "TVBI" text shines at which point the background stops moving.

Variants: The background and the ending might change as the time goes. The most known variants are:

  • 1997-1998: The sky background was changed to a blue one, and the logo is darker, also including a light on the top.
  • 1998-2005: the light was removed and the byline "Distributed by TVBI Company Limited" in both English and Chinese zooms out.
  • 2005-2016: The background had been changed with a black space one, which appears from a ring of clouds. The bylines zoom out individually, and the company's name glows.
    • There is also a widescreen version for this variant.

Technique: CGI.

Audio: Same as the 2nd logo.

Audio Variant: Some releases have the music almost inaudible.

Availability:

  • Seen on various releases of TVB programs such as the Gao Xue Series: Supreme Game.
  • This logo appears at the start of Malaysian VCD releases containing English-dubbed Dragon Ball Z episodes by Speedy Video (presumably due to Cantonese prints being used as source material), with at least the first volume using the "quiet" variant.

5th Logo (2016-)

Visuals: On a space background, there's 3D crystal balls zooming on the screen. One of the crystal balls is silver and colors change to form the colors of the TVBI logo. Then silver bars appear and more shots of the crystal ball are shown. Then the crystal ball turns into the TVB logo, and then the TVB logo zooms out and the crystal balls disappear as "TVBI" zooms out as a light shines. A light then forms the TVBI byline from the previous logo, again in both English and Chinese.

Technique: CGI.

Audio: A majestic theme with whooshes, which ends in a sparkling sound.

Availability: Seen on TVBI releases from the era. [Examples?]
