Tandem Video

Logo (1990s)

Visuals: The sequence starts with a red explosion with some thin yellow lines in front, looking like a tunnel. From the center, a VHS tape comes "falling" as the background turns into red smoke. We then see a close-up shot of 2 hands holding a gun as the person lets out 2 gunshots, both hitting the VHS tape and going through each circle (which looks similar to a stovetop), causing it to spin. The tape then stops and flashes white, with a golden gem-textured box with "TANDEM VIDEO" in a stylised futuristic font with a border around it zooming out onto the center of the tape, causing the non-black bits to have the same texture as the box. The gem-texture then turns solid gold and the background briefly fades into a ruby background, causing the rest of the tape to disappear before it turns white, and the whole logo fades out.

Technique: Early CGI with live action for the gunshots.

Audio: A dramatic synth fanfare followed by a male voiceover reading the name of the company.

Availability: Seen on Bulgarian tapes at the time. [Examples?]
