Background

This was a video counterpart of Telstar Records, It released low grade movies on VHS.

1st Logo (1988-1999)

Logo: On a dark space background, a blue sphere and spinning arrow zoom out from the lower right corner of the screen. The sphere stops moving near the upper right corner with the arrow still spinning. The TELSTAR name in red slides out from the left side of the globe starting with the R, in sync with the music. When the name shows it's full name, the arrow stops spinning. A big blue rectangle zooms out, spinning,with "VIDEO" carved in it. When it rests under the "TELSTAR" logo, it fills up with a white color. The word "ENTERTAINMENT" in white then flips in.

Technique: The globe and names.

Music/Sounds: A dramatic fanfare which starts, consisting of reverse cymbal crashes, a techno-sounding synth tune, and 16 trumpet notes.

2nd Logo (1999-2004)


Logo: A spotlight shines on a liquid pool of silver. The pool then forms a man, ala T-1000 from T2, tucked in a ball. The man then has a light in his hand. He unfolds from ball formation and light forms "TELSTAR" name in silver and man poses as name floats up to on top of him. A star appears on his body making a cut out shape of star in his body as the letter T cuts out of left part of his head and the star disappears by zooming in. The spotlight disappears as the name and man zoom out with the man flashing. The words "VIDEO ENTERTAINMENT LTD" zoom out onto under the man.

Technique: The pool of silver and light.

Music/Sounds: A dramatic orchestra fanfare.

Availability: Very rare.
