Background
The Apartment Pictures is an Italian film and television production company established in December 2019 as part of Fremantle creating three new entities in Italy. Alongside The Apartment's founding include sister companies Fremantle Italia and Wildside. The Apartment focuses on drama media with international writers involved.
1st Logo (February 10, 2020-)
Visuals: The screen pans to the right on a black and white European street with a fountain, several apartments, trees, and a metal tower and the moon in the distance. The screen cuts to a farther shot of the street as a light on the apartment closest to the screen continues to shine. In the process, the background slightly dims before returning to its initial lighting. Another shot of the street is shown, this time focusing on the apartment stores and windows and the camera pans to the top right. The background, minus the light lighting up a small portion of the apartment, fades to black as "The Apartment PICTURES", in a stacked format, with the latter word in white and to the bottom right of "Apartment", and with the Fremantle byline below the logo, fades in on the bottom left side of the screen. At the shot when a majority of the background is black, the second right-most window turns its lights on as the screen stops panning.
Variants:
- An in-credit variant exists.
- On Homemade, a small boxed portion featuring the company name with no byline and the window on top of it is shown.
Technique: CGI.
Audio: Nature and street ambience is heard throughout the sequence such as birds chirping, cars driving, bells tolling, and a dog barking at the end.
Availability:
- The animated variant appears on their films from this period such as My Name Is Francesco Totti and The Hand of God.
- The in-credit variant mainly appeared on their TV shows, in addition to the end of their movies. These include seasons 2 and 3 of My Brilliant Friend (the logo's debut), We Are Who We Are, and Bang Bang Baby.
2nd Logo (October 27, 2023-)
Visuals: A bench and black lamppost are shown on a grassy street behind a tan Italian apartment on a sunny day. The camera slowly zooms in and pans upwards to the room containing a balcony, which by then the setting becomes nighttime and the lamppost's light is turned on. The screen continues to pan to the top left to focus its attention on the room with light coming out and a relatively larger balcony. Centred on the room's door, the logo from before in white appears through a radial wiping, glow effect while the byline fades in and the Fremantle byline is drawn. When the logo is formed, the background fades to black.
Technique: Live-action and CGI.
Audio: Soft street ambience is heard before nighttime sounds such as the crickets and light buzzing as well as the wind and light from the room turning on is heard. A writing sound is also heard when the Fremantle byline is drawn.
Availability: It made its earliest appearance on Priscilla.
