Background

Established in 1985, Together Again Productions is known for creating the hit children's franchise Kidsongs. In 1992, it became an affiliate of Peregrine Entertainment Limited (not to be confused with another company of the same name).

1st Logo (December 3, 1985-1988)

Visuals: On a steel gray background, the letters "T", "A", and "P" fly in on the screen after their shining shadows. Then the whole thing shines and "Together Again", in pink neon, fades in, along with the words

V I D E O
P R O D U C T I O N S

and below it, this byline:

an affiliate of
Peregrine Entertainment, Ltd.

The letters shine again. Then, the logo fades to black in order to bring forth the Kidsongs logo against an orange background, which spins in from the center of the screen.

Variant: There exists a variant without a byline.

Closing Variant: The logo fades out after the second time the letters shine.

Technique: A mix of Scanimate and CGI.

Audio:

  • At the beginning of tapes, the Kidsongs theme music plays, accompanied by Dinny McGuire saying "...a Together Again Video Production of Kidsongs."
  • At the end of some 1985-1989 Kidsongs episodes, an 8-note bass tune would be heard.

Availability:

  • Opening: It was seen on some reprints of Kidsongs tapes.
  • Ending: It was seen at the end of 1980s episodes of Kidsongs.

2nd Logo (December 3, 1985-September 23, 1997)

Visuals: On a starfield, the 3D letters "T", "A", and "P" flip into the screen. A sheet of blue glass, with duplicates of the letter on it, flies in from the bottom. When they merge, the cursive red text "Together Again" and the words

V I D E O
P R O D U C T I O N S

fade in, shine, and the stars in the background suddenly shoot forward, leaving faint trails. Sometimes, the Peregrine byline from before, but in teal, fades in below. Then, one of two things occurs:

  • The logo freezes and then fades to black in order to bring forth the Kidsongs logo against an orange background, which spins in from the center of the screen. This was carried over from the previous logo.
  • Only the last half of the logo plays, and the Kidsongs logo with a blue background flips in from the center of the screen in front of the TAP logo.

Variants:

  • There exists a variant with no "VIDEO" above "PRODUCTIONS".
  • The "VIDEO PRODUCTIONS" text may be condensed.
  • There also exists a condensed variant where the bass tune starts while the Warner Bros. Records, View-Master Video, and TAP logo are shown, with the TAP logo already on screen. The stars shoot forward like normal and the words "Together Again" shine.
  • There were 2 variants for The Kidsongs Television Show used until 1994.
    • Season 1: The text would read "TELEVISION PRODUCTIONS".
    • Season 2: Exactly like that, but "SYNDICATION" replaces "TELEVISION".

Closing Variant: The logo plays in its entirety and fades out without the Kidsongs logo appearing on screen.

Technique: CGI.

Audio:

  • At the beginning of tapes, the Kidsongs theme music plays, accompanied by the Dinny McGuire voice-over from before.
  • At the end of episodes, the same music from the closing variant of the previous logo plays.

Availability: Seen on all Kidsongs videos distributed by Warner Home Video and KidVision from 1985-1995, before Kidsongs was placed under the distribution of Sony Wonder. Also intact on DVD prints of Country Sing-Along, Boppin' with the Biggles, and Let's Put on a Show!. This was also seen on seasons 1-3 of The Kidsongs Television Show, although one episode of season 4 (that being episode 17, "Billy's Doctor Visit") used this instead of the next one. It is also seen in Dancin' to the Hits and Essence Awards.

3rd Logo (June 10, 1997-July 7, 1998)

Visuals: On a space background, a red pyramid flips in to the screen, rendered in 3D. It stops in the middle of a glass panel, which flips to reveal that the triangle is in the "A" in the letters "T", "A", and "P". The words "T O G E T H E R A G A I N P R O D U C T I O N S" are embedded in the bottom of the glass panel. When the glass panel has finished rotating, stopping at a bottom right angle, it shines and emits beams of light.

Variants: A short version of this logo also exists.

Technique: CGI.

Audio: A light breezy synth theme, then a higher-pitched, quicker rendition of the eight-note bass jingle.

Availability: Seen on all four Kidsongs videos released by Sony Wonder. It can also be seen on DVD and digital prints of the 1985-1993 Kidsongs titles. The short variant appears at the end of every episode of the fourth and final season of The Kidsongs Television Show (except for "Billy's Doctor Visit", which has the previous logo instead by mistake).
