Background

Tremendous! Entertainment is a Minnesota-based documentary production company that was founded in 1997.

1st Logo (1997-2019)

Visuals: Two searchlights with a swirl on a purple circle at their tips grow out from the middle and start moving around on a black background. Their bases, as well as the word "TREMENDOUS!" (one swirl base serves as the "O") zoom in, followed by "entertainment" sliding to the left and stopping right next to the other swirl base. One of the searchlights wipes the screen, then is seen again as the other searchlight grows out again, followed by the company name reappearing in the same fashion. The searchlights then settle in an X-cross position.

Variants:

  • A slightly faster version exists.
  • The logo would often be cut to either the first or second half of the animation.

Technique: 2D computer animation.

Audio: Two light switch-ons and several light whooshes, ending in a bigger whoosh.

Audio Variant: On the company's 2008 promotion reel, a warbly synth sound is used, which ends in an orchestral hit.

Availability: Seen on Once Upon A Tree, Health and Happiness with Mayo Clinic and season 1 of Meet the Peetes, among other TV shows. It also appeared on the company's various promotion reels.

2nd Logo (2019-)

Visuals: An animated planet Earth zooms out and the wordmark from before appears around it as it settles. The Earth serves as the "O" in "TREMENDOUS!".

Technique: 2D computer animation.

Audio: Same as before.

Availability: Seen on Christmas Cookie Matchup and season 2 of Meet the Peetes, among other TV shows.
