Background

Trimurti Films Pvt. Ltd. was an Indian film production house founded by Gulshan Rai in 1970. After Rai's death, his son Rajiv Rai took over as the head of the company. The company's first production was Johny Mera Naam.

1st Logo (1981?)

Logo: On a black background, we see the Trimurti Films logo in blue fading in and out.

FX/SFX: The fading.

2nd Logo (1975-1994)

Nicknames: "Red Triangle of Doom", "Prayer in Space"

Logo: On a space background, we see a blue hand pointing at a spinning yellow ring fading in, which also causes a red triangle to wipe and fade in. The camera then rotates 86 degrees, revealling the end of a silver trident. Yet again, the camera rotates which reveals a what appears to be a pink foot with a red star on top. Lastly the camera zooms out, revealling the same symbol from the 1st logo but in color, which causes the words "TRIMURTI" and "FILMS" in yellow appearing between the trident along with the Hindi translation in red appearing below the symbol.

FX/SFX: The starfield, the fading, the camera rotating and the text appearing.

Music/Sounds: The sound of a horn, which is then followed by a man singing accompanied by a tampura with notes from a glockenspiel.

Availability: Uncommon. This was seen on their films during the time which includes Deewaar, Trishul, Vidhaata, Tridev, Vishwatma, Mohra and Gupt.
