Background

Tuvalu.TV is a Tuvaluan television channel that started in 2019. It is operated by the Tuvalu Broadcasting Corporation, Tuvalu's national broadcaster.

Ident (2019-)

Visuals: The ident begins with a shot of a beach at sunrise, as the waving flag of Tuvalu fades in as an overlay. A girl wearing an orange dress appears and starts dancing (fatele, a traditional dance-song from Tuvalu). It then segues to a clip show of Tuvaluans doing daily activities: dancing, eating, raising children, working, posing for the camera, and so on, with clips of the dancer girl from before intercut. After this, a shot of the dancer girl's face is seen. As this happens, two parallelograms, one short and one long, slide into view. From the longer parallelogram, ".TV" rises out of it. "TUVALU.TV" slides in within the longer parallelogram, which the left side of it becomes rounded and vertical. The background switches to a shot of a beach at sunset, then fades to black.

Technique: Live-action and computer animation.

Audio: Tuvaluan fatele music.
