Background
1st Segment (1992-)
Segment: On a purple gradient background, we see Elmo hanging upside down at the top of the screen, explaining the two vertical directions to the viewer. Elmo then tries to let go of the hanging bars, then falls onto the bottom, and hits the piano, causing him concussion/cross-eyed, and finally lays on the ground as a result of the injury.
Trivia: The segment was originally written by Sonia Manzano.
Music/Sounds:
- When Elmo falls onto an object placed beneath him, the BBC records piano crash triggers. The horns play after Elmo faints on concussion.
Music/Sounds Variants:
- The swedish version
Availability:
- First used on Episode 2999, has been used on several episodes from the era.
