1st Bumper (1980 to 1993)

Bumper: On a black or white background, the following clip ons fly in from the top-right corner:

Clip On set name: Fly-In

Variants:

  • Sometimes, the bumpers fly from the top-left.
  • From 1980 to 1983, the text "COMING SOON FROM [insert company here]",or "HERE ARE PREVIEWS FROM OTHER TITLES." fades in on a crimson background.

Technique: Simple cel animation.

Trivia: The LaserDisc ones were used beginning in 1989, when iVideo began distributing them.
Starting in 1984, iVideo delivered a pamphlet titled A guide to the little clip-ons, where it explains what they mean. According to the pamphlet, Coming to/Now on means the title is for rent. The Hit Titles bumpers were used for extremely successful titles. This pamphlet was distributed until 2004 with every VHS and DVD.

Music/Sounds: A voiceover, along with the Bruton Music track "Seaspeed", or "Seaspeed 2" by Alan Hawkshaw.

Music/Sounds Variants: *Some have only the voiceover.

  • Earlier titles, from 1980 to 1984 have no voiceover.

Availability: Available on every videotape and LaserDisc by the company.

2nd Bumper (1993 to 2012)

Bumper: EXACTLY the same as the Flashbang bumpers by Disney. However there are more Clip-Ons. These are:

In Non-English speaking countries, these bumpers are translated and spoken by a native speaker.

Music/Sounds: Same as the Disney flashbang bumpers, except with a different voiceover. For some, it has the original voiceover, but for others, another v/o was used. For recreations, the Text to Speech voice Tom was used.

Music/Sounds Variants:In English-German products, no voiceover is heard sometimes, which has been clarified in 2010 as a "technical error that was neglected for a long time". In 2011, they finally fixed the issue.

3rd Bumper (2012-)

Bumper:Same as the Disney Flimreel clip-ons. The following text appears:
