1st Warning (1979-1989)

Visuals: On a blue background, the following text in white scrolls up:

WARNING
The motion picture contained
in this video cassette is
protected under the copyright
laws of the United States
and other countries. This
cassette is sold for home
use only and all other
rights are expressly
reserved by the copyright
owner of such motion
picture. Any copying or
public performance of
such motion picture is
strictly prohibited and may
subject the offender
to civil liability and severe
criminal penalties.

Technique: 2D computer animation.

Audio: None.

Audio Variant: On United Home Video releases, the first part of the logo music is heard.

Availability: Seen on VHS releases of Without Reservation and Murphy's Law.

2nd Warning (1989-1997)

Visuals: On a dark blue background is the white words "FBI WARNING" in a Helvetica font, on a horizontal red line. Below it is a sentence reading "THIS PROGRAM IS PROTECTED BY COPYRIGHT LAWS." Some warning text in a smaller font is below that. It then fades to the VCI Home Video Feature Presentation bumper.

Technique: A fading effect.

Audio: None.

Availability: Seen on VCI Home Video VHS tapes from 1989 to 1997, such as Miracle of Marcelino.

3rd Warning (1997-2001)

Visuals: Same as the 1991-1997 Walt Disney Home Video warning screen.

Technique: A still, computerized graphic.

Audio: None.

Availability: Seen on VCI Home Video VHS tapes from 1997 to 2001. [Examples?]

4th Warning (2001-2014)

Visuals: It's almost the same as the 1982-2004 Columbia TriStar Home Video/Entertainment Warning Screen, except it has no bar, the seal is in the left, the warning text is different, behind is the seal and it reads "FBI WARNING".

Technique: A still, computerized graphic.

Audio: None.

Availability: Seen on VCI Entertainment DVDs. [Examples?]

5th Warning (2014- )

Same as the 2012 warning screens at the time.
