Background

Valley Isle Productions is an American education production company.

Logo (1981)

Visuals: On a black background, a red gradient silhouette of an island with mountainous hills is shown. The screen backs away as more mountains appear, expanding the width of the terrain, while a red-tinted ocean and sky fade in. Later, the sky changes colors to gold and then blue, which prompts the ocean's color to change to the latter color. This occurs before three palm trees grow out of the island's foreground through a wiping effect. Then, the sun pops in, shrinks, and flattens to gain an inner white glow when it stops and places itself behind the island and a portion of the water. While this happens, the background becomes black, the ocean is set to a predominantly black color scheme, and the island is surrounded by gold clouds in the distance and an upper outer blue glow on top. "Jac Holzman Presents" and "A Valley Isle Production", both in serif fonts and gold gradient fill, are placed on the screen's upper left and bottom right respectively.

Technique: Analog computer animation.

Audio: A synth drone plays until the sun's emergence, to which a descending synthesized zap with a droning effect at the end plays.

Availability: The logo is seen on The Creative Camera.
