(1999-2001)

Nickname: "The Checkmark V"

Logo: On a black or white background, a brushstroke red "V" can be seen above the text "VATICAL ENTERTAINMENT", all stacked up. The "V" and "L" are bigger then the rest of the letters, and "ENTERTAINMENT" is in a more generic font.

Variants:

  • Earlier GBC games, including the GBC port of Vigilante 8(the 1st game that appears to have this logo), the logo appears to have some dimension to it. "PRESENTS" is also seen below.
  • An early animated variant appears on the PS1 port of Tiny Toon Adventures: Toonenstein - Dare to Scare!, where the "V" is wiped in on a white background. The "V" zooms out to the upper part of the screen, where the name in black appears below a few seconds later. It also appeared on the PS1 port of Polaris SnoCross, but on a black background, no zoom out, and with "presents" below, before fading to the Vicarious Visions logo at the time.
  • On Iron Soldier 3, a lens flare draws in the "V" like the other animated logo, though the other way around, as the "VACTIAL" name rotates in and "ENTERTAINMENT" zooms in.
  • On Sea Doo HydroCross, a wave of thunderclouds come in and lightning strikes into existance the "V". The name blurs in, and the storm fades out.

FX/SFX: None.

Music/Sounds: None.

Music/Sounds Variants:

  • The early animated variant has a ethereal synth note with a whoosh for the "V", and a low-toned piano tune for the name appearing.
  • Polaris SnoCross used a synth drone with 2 whooshes for the wiping.
  • Iron Soldier 3 used a echoing clang with a twinkle at the end.
  • Sea Doo HydroCross had simple roaring thunder.

Availability: Uncommon. The still version can be seen on all their N64 and GBC titles, while the animated variants appeared on the games mentioned in the variants.

Editor's Note: None.
