Video Sonar

From the Audiovisual Identity Database, the motion graphics museum

(Mid-Late 1980s?)

Visuals: On a black background, we see "video" in a 3D futuristic-esque font with a zigzag line attached to the lower part of the i. It is followed by moving trails and a blurry blue opal behind it. It zooms in, and then cuts to a scene, with "SONAR" in the Westminster typeface, also followed by moving trails and a blurry blue opal, which is slightly largened. It zooms in, and once it gets more close, it cuts to another scene with the words put together, making it read "video SONAR". After half a second, the trails reappear, and the logo begins to zoom out.

Technique: Camera controlled animation with video feedback effects.

Audio: "You Are, I Am" by Manfred Mann, that ends with a synth drone when the logo begins to zoom out.

Availability: Spotted on the release of Ultimo mondo cannibale.
