Background

Visual Entertainment Group was an Australian DVD and VHS Distributor which went defunct around 2012

1st Logo (1994-2004)

Visuals: On a white background, a blue sphere fades in with the text "VISUAL ENTERTAINMENT GROUP", moving around and behind it. Then, a stylized "V" zooms around the ball with the 3D text "VISUAL ENTERTAINMENT GROUP" zooming underneath it. The entire logo remains in place for about 10 seconds before cutting to black.

Technique: CGI.

Audio: A fast synth whoosh followed by a descending synth drone.

Availability: Seen on AFL and NRL DVDs of its time, as well as on Grand Final DVDs from before 2004 e.g: Every North Melbourne Grand Final.

2nd Logo (2004-2010)

Visuals: On an orange firey background, a white comet like object zooms into the centre and explodes. As the explosion fades away, the Visual Entertainment Group logo zooms in. Below the logo, the stacked text "More titles available where you bought this DVD or at sportsdelivered.com" fades in.

Variant: Since 2007 Destra Entertainment logo underneath the V-Ball.

Technique: CGI and live action.

Audio: A short whoosh with an explosion, followed by a whoosh with a reverse cymbal sound.

Availability: Found Visual Entertainment Group's DVD releases during the timeframe.

3rd Logo (2010-2012)

Visuals: On a blue smoke-like background, the text "Visual Entertainment Group" flies in as a small burst creates the "V-Ball", which is noticeably different from before: it is brighter and cleaner with lighter shades of blue. Streaks of light come out of the side of the V-Ball, and a black gradient bar with the white text "More titles available where you bought this DVD." The logo fades in before cutting to black.

Technique: CGI.

Audio: A low hum, followed by a strange underwater blast. Then, a four-note low synth ditty with the low hum continuing throughout.

Availability: Found on a 2011 DVD of So Join in the Chorus - A History of the North Melbourne Football Club.
