Background

WIN Productions is the production arm of the WIN Network, it is the largest regional TV broadcaster in Australia. Originally starting in the city of Wollongong, New South Wales (as TV station WIN-4), it aggressively purchased regional stations during aggregation with the Nine Network in the mid 80s. for many years, WIN was an affiliate of the Nine Network and carried most of its branding. However, in July 2016, after a contract dispute with Nine over their catch-up streaming service, WIN became an affiliate of Network Ten. In July 2021, WIN reverted back to being an affiliate of the Nine Network.

1st Logo (c. 2000-2002)

Visuals: On a granite background, there are three movements. The first movement is a shining light that moves from the top left of the screen to the bottom right. The second movement is the WIN logo (which is the same as the Nine Network logo except the "9" is replaced by "WIN") which spins around until it faces at the viewer. The third movement is a make up of "TELEVISION" on top, "NETWORK PRODUCTIONS" in the middle and a copyright date on the bottom. The logo and the text stop into place as a URL fades in below. The URL reads "www.winnet.com.au". The background slowly fades out, leaving only the WIN logo, "TELEVISION", "NETWORK PRODUCTIONS" and the copyright stamp.

Technique: CGI.

Audio: A whooshing sound followed by a thump and an electric guitar cord.

2nd Logo (2002-2004)

Visuals: On a blue background, there is a white WIN logo zooming and turning. The text "WIN TELEVISION AUSTRALIA" appears below.

Technique: CGI.

Audio: Same as the Nine Network Productions logo.

3rd Logo (2004-2006)

Visuals: On a blue gradient background, the screen zooms out from the side of the WIN logo as it turns to face towards the camera. Underneath, "WIN Television Australia" fades in underneath the logo and at the bottom of the screen, there's the URL "www.winnet.com.au.".

Trivia: This logo is based off (but not exactly like) the Nine Network Productions logo of the time.

Technique: CGI.

Audio: Same as the 2nd logo.

4th Logo (2006?-2008)

Visuals: On a stage with blue and yellow spotlights, a spark appears and creates an outline of Australia, as well as a blue rectangle with the words "WIN" in it with "www.wintv.com.au" on the bottom. As the outline fades out, text appears. Underneath the logo, there are the words "Uniquely Australian". On the bottom of the screen, there is a byline: "A WIN Network Production (C) Copyright [Year] Part of the WIN Corporation".

Technique: CGI.

Audio: A swish sound followed by an electronic swell.

Availability: Retained on reruns of the Alive and Cooking Christmas Special.

5th Logo (2008-2019)

Visuals: On a stage with blue and yellow spotlights (again), the same spark from before appears and creates an outline of Australia (again) and also creates the word WIN. The outline fills with blue and re-draws itself. Above "WIN", an A fades in and below "WIN", "Production" wipes in along with a URL which says "wintv.com.au". Underneath the logo, there are the words "Uniquely Australian", with copyright info below.

Variant: When WIN bought the rights to The Saddle Club in 2009, an in-credit variant plastered the ABC logo on all pre-2009 episodes. The logo is still with the words "WIN" in an outline of Australia. A byline under the logo reads "Part of the WIN Corporation".

Technique: CGI.

Audio: Same as before.

Availability: Seen on shows like Postcards, Alive and Cooking, Fishing Australia and The Saddle Club.

6th Logo (2019-)

Visuals: On a blue background with green circles, the WIN Network logo fades in. A blue streak creates an Australian map shape, to which the logo turns blue. The text "A WIN NETWORK PRODUCTION" and copyright infomation appears underneath.

Technique: CGI.

Audio: Same as the 4th logo.

Availability: Unknown.
