AVID:Requests for Comment/Merge the 1st and 2nd Gracie Films logos (alongside other logos nearly identical in appearance)

I find this an issue that has existed within the wiki for several years. As mentioned in the title, there are some pages where "two" (or perhaps more) logos are almost identical to each other in appearance. The Gracie Films logo is a great example of that since the 2nd logo is practically the same as the first, but with "better animation". The problem with this is that it's not only vague as to why is it its own section but that makes the wiki feel inconsistent. Meanwhile, the current versions of the 20th Television and 1993 Columbia Pictures logos, where they appear to have "better animation" than the original version, are in the same section as the original versions of said logos. That is rather confusing and begs the question: why exactly is the enhanced Gracie Films logo separate from the first when the other two said company enhanced logos are counted as variants of the original? Not to mention it doesn't make sense to call it a new logo different from the previous one if it uses the same concept, appearance, and even logo as the first.
So, this proposal is not only to suggest merging those two companies, but also others that share a nearly identical style, appearance, and not to mention logo. Logos such as Roughcut TV's may have the same animation, but I think they count as separate logos because the one used in their current logo is at least noticeably different than the previous one. The so-called "second logo" is literally an enchanced variant of the first logo, to the point where it's even seen on the 4:3 Disney+ prints of The Simpsons (a semi-plaster if you will). They are not different, I will give the third logo a slide, since it's pretty much their alternate logo, only being used on Simpsons shorts (especially the Mickey Mouse variant).

Support I would give strong support, but I never really saw this as much as a problem, more of an annoyance. But, I hate annoying so lets get rid of them CharlieFiddlesticks (talk) 16:34, 2 November 2022 (UTC)

Support, although I think merging will be a challenge given there are so many notable variants, such as the Halloween and Mickey Mouse ones. Could the Halloween variants get a level-4 subheading? I don't know. --Pingu (talk) 00:58, 7 November 2022 (UTC)
