- Hello! I have been debating this for a bit, but I have shown interest in becoming a Moderator. Why? Simply, I want to help moderate others' edits quickly and detect suspicious edits so I can detect socks. Despite inactivity, I want to take up this job, as I will become more active if I need to regulate and curate edits. I haven't done much reports, but I am willing to take this offer to help out AVID. In advance, I apologize for the confusing wording here. (What you gonna do when clip-ons come for you!?) 12:52, 26 October 2023 (UTC)

Comment: I know according to the community I can't be mod due to the February Discord Incident. Also it is because I can't explain good. Because of this, until around Mid-February, I am retracting my Mod request and going back to to my self-done title of Home Video bumper archivist. I love AVID and everyone in it. To the person(s) who were affected by the Incident, I apologize. What I did on the Server was wrong and I know it now. I'm not a creep. I feel horrible for the person grieving. They were very upset when I posted that very offensive meme. So for now, I am retracting. Eternity, I think that's whats needed.

- I know I have requested 3 times now, but I've been working on what everyone said, and now, I think I'm ready.
I feel I am ready, because I have made 3 pages, and added a logo to an already existing page, showing that I have quite some experience in editing and contributing. I have also alerted admins about 2 Soby socks (Granted, they were already banned by the time I reported them, but I still have an eye for looking out). Plus, I have also taken a leap in maturity since then, becoming more fit for the role, and more trustworthy. I am willing to take on this responsibility, and while school gets in the way, I will still be here when I am needed. I feel now that I am fit for this role in the wiki, assisting the higher ups with troublemakers and socks, helping people with edits, et cetera. This is something I am willing to take on, and if I do get the role, I will be here for anything and everything, from going against a notorious sockpuppeteer to giving a helping hand to new members of this community, I will be here. I feel I am ready to help this wiki on a regular basis, and make newer members welcome, and sockpuppet accounts scarce. Sonicfan19198282 (talk) 20:33, 13 October 2023 (UTC)

- Regretatably, following further consideration, including discussions with other staff members, I have come to the conclusion that it would not be beneficial for AVID to be promoting sonicfan at this time. He still has some room to improve in regards to maturity, though with some mentorship, I think that could change in the near future. As of now though, I Oppose this request. - Oppose but this will most likely be the last time I oppose a Sonicfan RFP. The maturity is not there yet, but with some mentorship and guidance, I think you will be ready very soon. Remember that Sonicfan is still very young and there is plenty of time for personal development and growth along with maturity to come in. All he needs now is a push in the right direction which I think we can provide. Luke2505 (talk) 09:41, 14 November 2023 (UTC)

He's shown dedication to the site, and I think with a bit more time and maturity, he would be a great addition to the team. - I know I have been pretty quiet on here for the past few months, but I really have a keen interest in this wiki and I really love to help run this wiki. I'm really into logos and I find this wiki a very valuable source for logo information. Whether this request passes or fails, I'll jump right back into the AVID community. I have almost forgotten to jump back into the community after this long break and I'll do it very soon no matter the result of this request. Thank you AVID Community for all the fun and pleasure I had and will continue to have contributing here since I first joined back in April 2021, from Johnny.

- Oppose I was really hoping to see some change from you after the conversation we had on the AVID Community Discord. For the record, these RFPs aren't "popularity" contests and are definitely not a good way of determining how the community perceives you. I hope you realise that the constant RFPs are very damaging to your reputation, and making them for reasons such as "I want to see what people think of me" doesn't help. Don't make another RFP in 2 months, because I can quite honestly tell you that you definitely will not be ready by then. You have a LOT of reputation to claw back and while I think its doable, the first step in getting there is laying off the RFPs. Become more active around the Discord, become more social with the rest of us, and start doing these contributions you say you will! Actions speak louder than words. I'm really disappointed in you that you've done this immediately after your break. Luke2505 (talk) 09:50, 14 November 2023 (UTC)
- I know. I know. we all make mistakes. Nobody's perfect. I'm 100% going to get right into the community very soon and I'll work hard for months. I'll make sure to stay active on the forums and Discord server. I'll do lots of edits on the wiki and make stue to make some large contributions like creating pages, adding new logos and sections to pages, reporting bad users, etc. There are no promises or commitments here as I could forget tomorrow and never come back for many more weeks and months to come, so hopefully I don't forget, but I'll most likely not. - Only a couple of more months? Ain't no way anyone, including me, would fully prove themselves that they can be a moderator after a failure of a request in only two months. I'd suggest extending that time period depending on how much worthy action you can handle. If you don't do much, I wouldn't say it would be short... 𝓘𝓝ℱ𝓔ℛ𝓝𝓞 𝓞ℱ 𝑇.𝓥.ℬ. (talk) 18:32, 18 November 2023 (UTC)
- Comment: Couple more months? When are you gonna realise that 1 break does not mean a guaranteed promotion?! Unless you buck your ideas up and become much, much more mature, a break will mean nothing. So stop desperately trying to become a mod and making requests whenever possible, get your act together, and if we see a drastic change, maybe, just maybe, you might find yourself on the mod team. At this point tho, it's extremely unlikely. Sonicfan19198282 (talk) 23:28, 14 November 2023 (UTC)

- Hi there, I have been active on here since 2022 and I have been doing a lot of grammar fixes. ALso, I have reported a few rulebreakers including one that was underage. I have also created a couple of new pages and I have even split a few pages. The reason why I want to become a mod is that I want to help keep this wiki clear from socks, rulebreakers and vandals so it can stay as a free, fun, and fair wiki.

Oppose. It's been made clear that you actually only care about yourself, seeing as you've only made filler edits to boost your edit count. - Hi. I've been active on here since 2022, and I've gone a long way from there. Since the last time I requested, I've become more mature, been taking more attention to user reports, reporting people when they break rules, and I would do anything to keep the site up and running. Whenever someone does something wrong, I would really like to make it right. I would like to be part of the staff because of this. I would love to play a part in keeping this wiki sock-free, vandal-free and rule-breaker free, so this wiki can be one of the most popular sources of information for logos for now, for ever.

Seeing their contributions, I can definitely say that these few extra permissions will help what they are doing. Oppose I am going to echo the others and say you should probably wait a bit longer before you apply for a role on the staff team. You did indeed get off to a rough start here at AVID, but I have seen noticeable improvement from you in recent times and you have settled into the community much better now. You have made some good efforts so far in terms of helping out the staff team, but I would like to see you continue working at this and even try to exceed what you've done so far. You will have my support when the time is right, if you want feedback on where you're at/how you're progressing towards becoming moderator-ready, I am sure myself and the other members of staff will be willing to tell you what you've been doing well and where you can improve. Co-operating with us and showing keen enthusiasm to work with us and learn the site is intuition we like to see and definitely helps make a name for yourself - especially when it comes to us supporting new staff members to join our team. Luke2505 (talk) 20:50, 16 May 2023 (UTC)

- Comment: You have shown significant improvement to you behaviour since your last request, however, I feel your reasoning is still somewhat weak. If you can build further on why you think you're fit for moderatorship, I'll put my support behind you. (Lets chat!) 12:59, 2 May 2023 (UTC)
- It's that I've been paying more attention to user reports. For example, remember Sadspongebob21 aka. Jack Norris? That was me. And then Parkee is Back, while I didn't make the report, I did mention someone else he targeted (789). As well as that, YouKonade said the S-word on a forum. That was me (Sure, that wasn't as bad as vandalism or sockpuppetry, but it's still a rule to not swear). Sgtshep557 uploaded 2 fake logos and a fake draft. I know most of the users I reported were minor, but I still think I'm ready for this responsibility. 13:13, 2 May 2023 (UTC)
- I hope nobody is particularly fooled by negligible reports of very small violations, the continued evasion from any substantial reason besides 'pls I want it', and the lack of demonstrated skills or judgement that might help in realizing this role. Every time I see Sonicfan one phrase comes to mind: high maintenance. Not a wise addition to the staff team until there is a radical shift in Sonicfan's core behavior. Obsessing over getting moderatorship and even adminship was demonstrated in the forums not long ago. This is harsh, but AVID has standards to keep for its scale and people who want to collect hats aren't it. An avoidable repeat of administrative issues from the 789guy (not considering the scandal that was lopped on top). I recommend Sonicfan just stop placing these requests and wait until someone authoritative tells him it's time to apply. --Raidarr (talk) 14:39, 3 May 2023 (UTC)
- That obsession wasn't me. Also, when you said to tell me to stop it, you're kinda sounding like I just constantly post requests, when I only posted 1 back then, and 1 now. And the reason why most of them were minor because that's all I've spotted so far. If I did, I'd report them immediately. As well as that, I've also done some good edits and contributions lately, and I want to help with the wiki as much as I can. I'm willing to do anything to play a part in making the wiki the best it can be. 17:15, 3 May 2023 (UTC)
- sounds like you're confusing Sonicfan and Sickminecraft. (Lets chat!) 01:00, 26 May 2023 (UTC)
- I didn't know that was possible! (Talk to Me!) 13:23, 10 June 2023 (UTC)
- For posterity yes, I did confuse the candidates. Frankly I don't think either of them are appropriate to join AVID staff now or in the foreseeable future. --Raidarr (talk) 13:26, 12 July 2023 (UTC)

- So, I've been active since 2022 (before then, I lurked on WF for several years, but couldn't create an account because of how difficult it was for me, and officially joined a couple months after the Miraheze move; I took a hiatus for about a year due to Qualitipedia ruining Miraheze for me, only rejoining around the time the BoD got ousted). I've worked as hard as I could to clean up pages (such as removing leftover Legacy or Technique misuse, grammar fixes, etc.). I've focused more on editing and cleanup than combatting socks, but I've done my best to remain active here and on the Discord server just about every day, and I'm still doing my best to help keep AVID a well-oiled ship. Even without all this, I was noted to be one of the saner Qualitipedia staff members, as well as a good second-in-command in the unofficial AVID Chronicles Discord server. Though I admit, I can be brash and make bad decisions too quickly. That said, I know being a mod is a great responsibility, and I want to try and help other users here as best as I can, as well as continuing to help keep AVID as well-run as possible.

- Hey y'all. You all probably know me by this point.
I've been trying my best to be a really hardworking individual on this wiki for at least 2 years now, such as expanding pages, cleaning up pages, helping out other users, and more. Although I haven't played an active role when it comes to the Discord server and combatting sockpuppets (although I have indeed reported some users who are sockpuppets in the past), I've been trying my best to keep in touch with everyone here, admins, bureaucrats, and normal users on this wiki because we are a community where we should be treated the same as always. With my abilities, I will try to help and be open towards other users with certain things, such as their user page and a grasp of this wiki, and of course, keeping this wiki clean as much as possible. I hope this is enough because I am heavily aware that it is a responsibility I have to treat with care, especially given that I still have school, which thankfully, is almost over.

- So, as some of you may have noticed, I stepped down as a moderator recently. I've taken this time to boost my edut count, as I feel that was the only thing blocking me from joining the admin team. I've contributed significantly to the project over my several years on-site, including writing the original description for the DWA 2019 logo, as well as some quality-of-life edits, such as clearing out opinionated comments and misuse of the technique section. During my time as moderator, I tried to respond quickly and efficiently to as many issues as the public wanted, a mentality I continue to utilise on the Discord server. I feel like I'm ready to take the next step, and I hope you feel I am too.

Support EMG is a voice of reason, has proven competent at pressing buttons, and has done well in curbing his own rough edges. I think this would be a boon to the AVID community. I think the migration has unfairly pushed EMG's candidacy out of the spotlight, perhaps there should be a notice for this to get proper attention. - It has been six months since I have proved what I can do as an administrator, and my contributions continue to pay off for the wiki.
Just saying that I am one of the most active users on the wiki would not be a good reason to support my promotion to bureaucracy. But when you expand that role, you can see that I have done my best in monitoring submitted drafts and edits in the moderation log, thoroughly examining them to see if they are good enough to be presented to the general public. This proves that my desire to ensure the quality of the wiki remains high and progresses from there. Since I have a very good knowledge of the site rules on the wiki, I am very aware of anyone who makes edits that do not follow site and editing guidelines, whether it would be missing examples or incomplete descriptions. Some of you may recall that I decline drafts more often than any of the other admins on the wiki, but that is because I care about seeing improvements in editors and keep the quality across pages old and new consistent. We all value a safe and inclusive community, but we also want to achieve a lot more with wisdom and productivity. I aim to keep the momentum of both the relationship between these two sides and the wiki rising for the better. If someone needs help in their articles such as adding images or describe an object, I am alert in fixing that issue, not to mention my awareness of what a lot of users are capable of when they edit pages or create articles. I keep that in mind and respect their skills, aiming to establish friendly relations with fellow users.
My knowledge of sockpuppets and rule breakers continue to catch unsuspecting sockpuppeteers with valid evidence and an immediate response whenever their name pops up in the recent changes log. For those who have previously broken rules, I expand the reasoning on templates warning them of that rule by providing them more alternatives to deal with the issue and asking if they can explain themselves in situations such as unsourced information. I would also sometimes offer to help them along the way in case they could not figure out how to follow specific guidelines properly.
This level of activity and alertness will make me a great fit for the tasks only a bureaucrat can do

- Support Oh god, you get my vote 100%. You are by far the most helpful user i've seen here. You definetly earn this right as bureaucrat. (• USER TALK! •) 03:10, 12 October 2023 (UTC)
- Support 100%. He's one of the most dedicated users on the wiki, very helpful to other users, contributes a lot and does amazing artwork! I'm giving it a yes to Camenati, but I'd also suggest for him to be a bit more active in Discord staff discussions if he gets promoted. Good luck Logoarto (talk) 03:10, 12 October 2023 (UTC)
- Camenati is perhaps the single-most prolific contributor to this wiki. His work in page expansion and in general adminship is beyond just commendable. With this in mind, I give my full Support. Eternity Media Group (talk) 03:11, 12 October 2023 (UTC)
- Support Camenati is one of our most dedicated, trusted users. He's done quite a bit for AVID since he joined. He's earned it. · Talk · Edits 05:51, 12 October 2023 (UTC)

- Support If we still had Strongest support I would use that for this proposal. As one of the most hard-working users on AVID (and a great artist too), you have absolutely earned this promotion and I wish you best of luck. Compooper (talk) 10:11, 12 October 2023 (UTC)

- Support You have made a name for yourself over your time both as an admin and a registered user as someone who provides nothing but high quality edits to the Wiki. Definitely an extremely worthy candidate for bureaucrat. Luke2505 (talk) 14:10, 12 October 2023 (UTC)
- Support He's got my full support. It's been about time. Doctorine Dark (talk) 14:50, 12 October 2023 (UTC)

- Support HELL YES! You have my vote! You absolutely deserve bureaucracy. You've contributed so much to AVID and made it what it is today. We applaud you for your effort, and you in all honesty deserve to be a bureaucrat, with current Discord bureaucrats LogoArto and hb1290. Film & Computer Geek 2007 (talk) 19:16, 13 October 2023 (UTC)
