Background
Animal Planet Video was an imprint of Discovery Channel Video that released Animal Planet programmes on VHS and DVD.
(1998-2003)
Visuals: On a half-green, half-orange with stripes background, we see a green square which opens up to unleash the letters in "Animal Planet" alongside the Discovery globe. Inside, the animal silhouette shapeshifts until it becomes an elephant as the letters form up to make the traditional Animal Planet logo of the time.
Technique: CGI.
Audio: A brassy tune that repeats itself.
Availability: Appears on Animal Planet branded VHS and DVD releases from Discovery Channel Video, and later appeared on Artisan Home Entertainment/Family Home Entertainment releases.
