1st Logo (June 10, 1997-January 25, 1999)

Visuals: On a yellow background is the HBO logo with a red ball inside the "O" and the word "F A M I L Y" in a purple square with static covering parts of the square. A yellow dog's eye appears in the center of the O, then the dog emerges from it and winks, before the square turns around to reveal the logo again.

Variants:

On a sky background with birds flying, the HBO Family logo is inside a light blue box. A fly pops out of the "O", winks at the viewer(s), and files away.
On a space background with four planets aligning, the HBO Family logo files from the bottom, and a 3-eyed purple alien appears from the "O", winks and waves at the viewer(s), then gets sucked up by a flying saucer.
During the holiday season in 1997 and 1998, the logo was slightly modified: snow is falling throughout, and the background and the dog emerging from the center of the "O" are now purple instead of yellow, while the dog has a red-striped bone in his mouth. He says "Happy holidays", then the box turns around to reveal a red square reading "HAPPY HOLIDAYS" and some noisemakers instead of the HBO Family logo.

Technique: 2D digital animation by Steven Dovas.

Audio: A short synth-piano tune, along with the sounds the creature makes. Composed in F major.

Audio Variant: The "Happy Holidays" variant has the dog's dialogue and noisemaker sounds with jingle bells.

Availability: These were shown between programs on the HBO Family channel until its 1999 refresh.

Legacy: The normal and "Happy Holidays" variants have gained criticism for their sounds and the dog's appearance.

2nd Logo (January 26, 1999-2003)

Visuals: The HBO Original Programming logo plays out as usual, with the word "Family" in Triplex Sans under the HBO logo. There is a yellow arc above "Family".

Technique: Computer animation.

Audio: The HBO Original Programming theme by Bruce Richmond.

Availability: Seen on family and kid-oriented shows like Harold and the Purple Crayon, Rainbow Fish, Classical Baby, A Little Curious, I Spy, and Crashbox. It also appears on HBO Family specials.

3rd Logo (2004?-2011)

Visuals: Essentially just the HBO Family logo at the time on a black background with a copyright stamp below the logo.

Variants:

On Max prints of the El Perro y El Gato episodes "From Here to There" and "Keep on Dreaming", the HBO Latino logo replaces the HBO Family logo.
On reprints of the El Perro y El Gato specials "The Adventure Begins" and "Unleashed", the HBO Family logo is shown side-by-side with the HBO Latino logo.

Technique: A digital graphic.

Audio: The ending theme of the program.

Availability: It appeared at the end of the El Perro y El Gato special "Juntos Otra Vez: Together Again".
