Astron-6 (Coming Up Next Bumper)

From the Audiovisual Identity Database, the motion graphics museum

Background

This is a bumper used by Canadian film production company Astron-6 to introduce the film in the style of an 80's television bumper.

Bumper (October 21, 2011)

Visuals: A yellow "6" with thin and layered inner outlining is on top of "ASTR-TV", also in yellow, as both are beside the text "ASTRON-6" and "Up Til Dawn!". The latter two lines of text are divided by two horizontal thin red lines and the latter is in a fancy cursive font. The aforementioned elements are set on a black-blue vertical gradient cityscape background and "ALL TIMES ARE CENTAL", in yellow, is placed on the bottom. Within the empty space, the following white text appears through a wiping effect:

FATHER'S DAY ... 1:00 am
STAR RAIDERS ... 3:00 am
SEXY BEACH ... 5:00 am

Technique: 2D computer animation.

Audio: While a synthesized saxophone soundtrack plays in the background, a deep-sounding narrator announces the following: "A ruthless killer is on the loose on Father's Day, a deadly tale of revenge; coming up next on the Astron-6, your channel 6 superstation."

Availability: The bumper is seen on Father's Day.
