Background
BWE Video (short for Bonneville Worldwide Entertainment) was an American home video company owned by Bonneville International, a broadcast company owned by the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, that distributed religious videos and films aimed at a family audience, as well as Christian and classical albums on CD and cassette. It was founded in 1996 and became inactive somewhere in the 2000s.
Logo (1996-Early 2000s)
Visuals: On a black background, there are two lights flash in the center of the screen, one on the left and one on the right, revealing a red box with the letters, "BWE" inside of it. Then, the words "BWE" fade in on-screen with the letters all connected and in a very thick font with a side image of the planet Earth tilted on its axis, against a gold space background. A red box flips in on screen behind the letters, followed by the word "VIDEO" in gold fading in below. The whole logo shines.
Variants:
- A short version exists at the end of tapes with the tail end appearing, but instead of "VIDEO" fading in below, the words, "BONNEVILLE WORLDWIDE ENTERTAINMENT" fade in below in a gold Times New Roman font.
- A later variant omits the flashes at the beginning.
Technique: 2D computer animation.
Audio: It begins with the sounds of thunder rumbling, followed by an ascending, synthesized woodwind note and twinkling sounds heard before the logo fades out.
Availability: Appears on VHS releases of TV movies such as How to Be a Perfect Person in Just 3 Days, Konrad, and The Boy Who Loved Trolls, among others.
