Background

Bombino Video was one of the largest home entertainment companies in India which released numerous VHS, VCD and DVDs.

Logo (1980's)

Visuals: On a space background, there is a white 3D "b" sketch appearing from the top and stops at the center. The space background dissipates, as 2 antenna rays appear on the rounded part of the "b", along with a spark forming a box spiral around it, forming the company's symbol. The symbol then shrinks to the top-left corner, as well as the space background reappearing while at it. Once the action is finished, an animated golden star fades in right next to the symbol, travels towards the bottom of the screen and "explodes" to form a stylized "BOMBINO". "VIDEO CASSETTES" in white wipes in underneath, as a white box the encloses the text afterwards, leaving a few sparks.

Technique: A mix of computer animation and cel animation.

Audio: "Chariots of Fire" by Vangelis.

Availability: Seen on old Bollywood VHS tapes of Masoom, Kachchi Kali, Ghulami, and Naam, among others.
