Background
Colmax Production was a French adult video production and distribution company. Faced with the crisis in the video market, the company temporarily stopped producing films in the 2000s, to focus on distribution. However, it resumed filming in 2009. At the same time, Colmax abandoned DVD production and focused on VOD. In 2011, the company began producing 3D films and also created Colmax TV, a television channel available on the Orange adult package. It was bought in November 2019 by Jacquie et Michel. [1]
1st Logo (1985)
Visuals: Over a wavy gray square vortex made from a trail, the silver letter "C" from before zooms in on a gray burst background. The white text "COLMAX PRODUCTION" zooms in below, and the logo zooms out later with trail effects, with the text zooming earlier than the logo.
Technique: Computer animation.
Audio: A low synth drone, followed by a 3-note echoing synth score. It is followed by a descending whoosh and the synth drone ascending.
Availability: Only seen on Sens Interdits.
2nd Logo (February 5, 1986)
Visuals: On a zooming-in starfield, a silver bar with a blue shade around it zooms in and slowly flips in, revealing itself to be a letter "C". The white text "COLMAX PRODUCTION" zooms in below.
Technique: Possibly live-action and computer animation.
Audio: The opening theme of the video.
Availability: Only seen on Le Fruit Défendu.
3rd Logo (1994)
Visuals: On a black background, the silver letter "C" zooms out while spinning, and the white word "COLMAX" appears with a flash effect, as two white lines are shown expanding, sandwiching the text.
Technique: CGI.
Audio: A synth drone accompanied by a whoosh, ending with a clang and a synth pad note.
Availability: Seen on Les Visiteuses.
