1st Logo (Early 1980s)


Visuals: On a white background, a purple TV tube shape is seen with a pair of outlined abstract hands cupping it. "DVS" in a tubular font is seen at the top, and "PRESENTS" is seen below, both in white. "PRESENTS" then disappears as a spinning square iris-in effect occurs, cutting to black.

Technique: 2D computer animation.

Audio: A soft horn-driven fanfare ("Royal Silver" by Nigel Hess, from the Great Occasion album off the De Wolfe Music Library).

Availability: Unknown. [Examples?]


2nd Logo (March-September 1983)


Visuals: On a black background, an indigo silhouette of a human head is seen, with a grid of white lines wipe from bottom to top. The grid also highlights the nose, ears, and back of the head. Below, the abstract white text "DVS" fades in below the head, and then the grid wipes away from bottom to top.

Technique: 2D computer animation.

Audio: A majestic horn-driven fanfare ("Fanfare C" by James Howe, from the Roving Report album off the De Wolfe Music Library). Also used on the Goldig Films (H.K.) Ltd. logos.

Availability: Seen on many pre-cert releases in the UK such as Death Row Killer, Ride the Tiger, Time Bomb, Warkill, The Avenging, The Fearmaker, and Survival 1990, among others.
