Background

Difusora Internacional de Vídeo S.A. (which would roughly translate as "International Video Diffusion, Inc.") was a Spanish video distributor.

Logo (1984?-1985?)

Visuals: On a space background, the words "DIFUSORA INTERNACIONAL DE VIDEO S.A." in yellow, next to a circle-like swirl, fade in. The logo suddenly disappears as the sound drastically changes, and the logo, which now has a circle in it, flashes in many different colors and in two different patterns. The first logo appears back in, only this time is blue, then the entire logo fades out at once.

Technique: 2D computer animation.

Audio: An ominous orchestral theme, which drastically changes to siren-like synth sounds.

Audio Trivia: The theme heard in the first part of the logo is actually an electronic rendition of The Old Castle, made by Isao Tomita and originally composed by Modest Mussorgsky.

Availability: Known to be seen on a Spanish tape of Patrick Still Lives (Spanish: Patrick Vive Todavia; Italian: Patrick vive ancora).
