1st Screen (2000-October 2002)

Visuals: Over a still image of a CGI-generated scenery is the "blender" logo (consisting of an orange outlined circle with three additional strips sticking out at its top and a blue circle in it) and wordmark above the center of the screen. Under the logo is text reading:

Welcome to the first release of the Blender 2.1 series.
Please check the README and copyright notice included
with this distribution.

Near the bottom right of the screen is the Not a Number logo. At the bottom of the screen is text reading "If you don't want to see this notice at startup, press CTRL+U to update your user defaults."

Visuals: Just a still image of a CGI-generated scenery with a stripe above it. On the stripe is the Blender logo (consisting of an orange outlined circle with three additional strips sticking out at its top and a blue circle in it) placed at the left of it, with the version number next to it. Here are the specific visuals generally used for these screens:

Under the image is the UI.
