Background

Kansan Elokuva OY is a Finnish film company founded in 1947 and was backed by the SDP and other social-democratic organizations to operate a nationwide film industry. The company's name was changed in 1955 to Allotria Filmi OY after the cinema of the same name that had been established in 1953 in Vallila, Helsinki.
