Background
Free Dolphin Entertainment is an independent company based in Paris, France that was founded in 1995, whose activities include the licensing of audiovisual rights, video publishing, video on demand and theatrical distribution. The company has tapped into feature films, TV movies, TV series, and documentaries. The company also has a production and international distribution branch.
1st Logo (1995-2000s)
Visuals: On a gradient blue background, two text from different sides slide into the frame: one is in a normal font with a black color, white outline, and shadow, while the other is in a more action-like font with a blue gradient underneath, a white outline, and a shadow. The text "ENTERTAINMENT" in white pops up one by one while a maroon gradient-shaded filmstrip wipes in behind the "N" in "DOLPHIN". A chrome dolphin then fades in above the text, with the filmstrip afterwards reflecting and the dolphin shining. A subtle ripple effect is seen on the background with it getting more darker. The gradients on the top text also grow bigger.
Technique: Computer animation.
Audio: A dramatic wind track as the logo forms in which drums can be heard when all of the text appears. Whooshes and beeps sync-in with the text animations whereas a ding is heard when the dolphin shines. Then, an electronic synth sound is held when the background ripples.
Availability: Can be seen on a VHS tape of Street Sharks.
2nd Logo (2000s-2016?)
Visuals: In an underwater setting, there are three dolphins swimming along together up and down. Once passing by the screen, the logo fades in with a ripple effect accompanied with bubbles appearing. A white dolphin emerges from the lower left corner of the logo and jumps up above "DOLPHIN". While this is happening, the underwater background fades to black with several more bubbles appearing before disappearing.
Technique: CGI.
Audio: None.
Availability: Unknown. [Examples?]
3rd Logo (2016?-)
Visuals: On the same setting as last time (this time with sunlight and more bubbles), three white lines zig-zags across the screen to form a minimalistic dolphin design. The text "FREE DOLPHIN" pans into the shot, albeit choppily, and then "PRODUCTIONS" flips underneath aforementioned text.
Technique: CGI.
Audio: A soft piano fanfare accompanied with violins.
Availability: This was seen on Royal Blossom and on several trailers of the company's projects such as I'm with Me.
