Logo (Early 1980s)

Visuals: On a black background, a square-shaped iris-in effect reveals the letters "GVC", scattered across the screen and all in a angular font. The "G" is set in the lower left corner, the "V" in the top center, and the "C" in the lower right corner. As soon as the iris-in finishes, they all move towards each other in the center of the screen, neatly fitting with each other, and then move up to the top center of the screen. Below it, the text "Gulf Video Centre" types in below in a white Arial font. The logo eventually remains still for 13 seconds before disappearing, with the "V" remaining for a split second.

Technique: Computer animation.

Audio: A synth timpani-piano fanfare.

Availability: The only pre-cert release it was seen on was Contact (The African Deal).
