Background

This was a company that is known to have made Ricochet and Don't Tell Mom the Babysitter's Dead. It was likely a theatrical film division of HBO, but the expansion of HBO Pictures to theatrical releases rendered the company superfluous.

Logo (October 4, 1991)

Visuals: On a black background, the white "HBO" logo with a registered trademark "®" sign on top of the "O" fades in. In front of the "®" is the eye of a camera and above the "O" is a white circle, representing a film reel. In front of the camera eye is "IN ASSOCIATION WITH" in yellow and below that is

which appears in bluish-cyan next to the "HBO" camera. The logo fades out after a few seconds.

Technique: Fading effects.

Audio: The final seconds of the film's closing theme.

Availability: It only appeared at the end of Ricochet, in between the end of the closing credits and the 1st Silver Pictures logo. Don't Tell Mom the Babysitter's Dead merely carries a in-credit notice.
