Background

HBO Now was a video on-demand service established in New York City on October 15, 2014. The service launched in April 7, 2015 for the purpose of providing content via streaming with subscription. The service was slowly phased out beginning on May 27, 2020 with the launch of HBO Max, though support continued until December 17, 2020, when Roku replaced it with HBO Max.

Logo (April 7, 2015-December 17, 2020)

Visuals: On a black background, the HBO Now logo pans down to the center while fading in. Then a parental guideline pans down with the same routine as the logo.

Technique: 2D computer animation.

Audio: A synth tune.

Availability: The logo was seen on HBO Now when a presentation was watched from the beginning.
