Background
Jim Henson Play-Along Video was a series of videocassettes produced by Jim Henson Productions in 1988 and distributed by Lorimar Home Video (with Warner Home Video taking over following Warner Communications' acquisition of Lorimar-Telepictures in 1989), which were intended to encourage kids to engage in various activities with the Muppets. This effectively marked the third in a line of kids labels distributed by Lorimar, following Scholastic-Lorimar Home Video and Kideo Video.
Logo (1988)
Visuals: On a white marble background, the gray text "Jim Henson", in the familiar Jim Henson font, writes itself in the center. When it finishes, a blurry rainbow-colored ribbon wipes in, and then it flashes to reveal a banner with the text "PLAY-ALONG VIDEO", which is curved over the banner.
Technique: 2D computer animation.
Audio: A synthesizer, bass, string and harp theme, with some techno-like beats at the end composed by John Van Eps.
