Background

Kids' WB! Movies was a short-lived film production unit of Kids' WB!, the children's programming block of The WB Television Network (now known as The CW), itself a joint-venture between Time Warner (now Warner Bros. Discovery) and Tribune Broadcasting (which merged with Nexstar Media Group in 2019). The unit was retired after 2001; Kids' WB! was later replaced with The CW4Kids (later Toonzai) on May 24, 2008, then Vortexx on August 25, 2012, and One Magnificent Morning on October 4, 2014.

Visuals: On a black background and from a far distance, two figures, the words "KIDS'", and "WB!" in the font from the 1998 Warner Bros. Pictures logo, but weirdly arranged and with an exclamation point at the end, ram themselves into the screen before moving back and wobbling. Either the Time Warner or AOL Time Warner byline fades in at the bottom of the screen.

Trivia:

• Starting in 1997, the Kids' WB! logo in TV promos and bumpers also rammed into the screen before moving back and wobbling. The animation for promos and bumpers was enhanced in the fall of 2001 and once more in March 2005.
• On the original UK trailers for the Pokémon films, this logo was replaced by the Warner Bros. Family Entertainment logo, and all mentions of Kids' WB! were cut. Despite this, the logos were preserved on the theatrical and VHS/DVD releases of the movie, and the trailers featured on the DVDs had no edits.

Variants:

• On Pokémon: The Movie 2000, the logo is zoomed in.
• On Pokémon 3: The Movie, after the logo is done animating, it flashes to a black screen with the film's logo on it.

Technique: CGI designed by Riverstreet Productions and animated by Blur Studio.

Audio:

• 1999: It's silent.
• 2000-2001: The "Poké Ball" sound from the Pokémon anime, which consists of multiple high-pitched lightning sounds.

Audio Variant: On a behind-the-scenes VHS for Pokémon: The First Movie given away with The Sun newspaper from the UK, the logo has Pokémon Dance Mix from Pokémon: 2.B.A. Master playing over this and the Nintendo Films logo. A whoosh syncs up with the appearance of the Time Warner Entertainment byline.

Availability:

• The logo could be found on the original American releases of Pokémon: The First Movie, Pokémon The Movie 2000, and Pokémon 3: The Movie.
• Digital prints and Viz Media's Blu-Ray release no longer feature this logo, or any of the logos attached to those films as they are sourced from the original Japanese masters.
• The logo can be seen on the original Warner Home Video VHS and DVD releases of the aforementioned films, except for The First Movie, which skips to the Nintendo logo, possibly due to an editing mistake.
• The logo with the AOL Time Warner byline can be seen on Pokémon 3: The Movie.
