Logo (1972)
Visuals: First, "RELEASED BY" in white is shown on a turquoise background. Then, a six-pointed white star zooms out on a star bursting background made of multiple star shapes expanding in size the further they are from the top centre, all of which fall within a black-orange-gold-green-teal-gold inner to outer colour scheme. After the white star stops within the black section of the background, "MERCURY", in white and a 3D right-perspective format, wipes in from left to right, followed by "COMPANY STAR" in Chinese next to the aforementioned word, appearing character by character from right to left. Afterwards, "AUDIO VISUAL ENTERPRISES" and "SAN FRANCISCO, CALIFORNIA", in a stacked format and with small black shadows, fade in underneath the two words.
Technique: Cel animation.
Audio: A bombastic, horn and drum orchestrated fanfare.
Availability: The logo is seen on the US release of The Sword.
