Orange Video House was a Japanese video distribution label and production company active from 1984 to 1987. It was owned by Sai Enterprises Co., Ltd, a video production and distribution company that operated from 1979 to 1987.[1] The Orange Video House label mostly distributed horror films and direct-to-video anime. Original productions were released on Orange's micro-labels Orange Animation and Midnight 25.
Logo (1984-1987)
Visuals: There is a grey background. After a second, the logo appears: English capitalized text reads "ORANGE VIDEO HOUSE". The O in "orange" is the color orange, with a single droplet protruding from its base, resembling an orange slice with dripping juice. Lines make out the shape of a house and roof, and connect to the N in "orange" and the E in "house". A second logo card transitions on screen. The card spins horizontally, flying forward until it fills the screen, displaying the katakana "オレンジビデオハウス". The characters in "オレンジ" and "ハウス" are transparent with white and orange outlines, while the "ビデオ" is opaque orange.
Technique: 2D animation.
Audio: An upbeat disco-style synth track for the first half, with the rest being a beat accentuated with bass guitar and drums.
Availability: Unknown. [Examples?]
- Orange Video House only had less than 100 unique releases on Laserdisc and VHS (with their full catalogue being unknown), and some later releases do not have an Orange Video House logo video.
