Background

Padmalaya Films is an Indian film production company and studio facility established by actor Krishna and his brothers. Based in Hyderabad it mainly produces and distributes Telugu and Hindi films. The studio currently operates through its successors Indira Productions, G. Mahesh Babu Entertainment and Krishna Productions Pvt. Ltd.. [1]

Logo (May 1, 1974-September 21, 1989)

Visuals: Settled in a dark environment with smoke occurring, a light brightens what appears to be a white Lakshmi statue being on a gray parallelepiped containing the white text "PADMALAYA PICTURES" on it. All of it is on a hard surface, surrounded by various petals and fruits below, as well as two candles and two golden duck statues on each side.

Variants:

  • On Eenadu, the duck statues would be omitted.
  • On Himmatwala, the logo takes place on a red flashing background with bubbles shown floating around, as well as the red text "PADMALAYA FILMS" below.
  • On later releases from the company, the logo takes place over a blue curtain background, being surrounded by fruits and petals more, and the text would be replaced with a red "PADMALAYA STUDIOS".

Audio: A tampura theme accompanied by a man singing, composed by Adinarayana Rao.

Availability: Seen on Alluri Seetharama Raju, Eenadu and Himmatwala. The later releases from the company are Hoshiyar, Pataal Bhairavi, Hero Hiralal, Rajakiya Chadurangam and Koduku Diddina Kapuram.
