Logo (1988-1994)
Visuals: On a dark blue/black gradient background, a metallic yellow oblong zooms out and rotates from the top of the screen, while a similarly colored rectangular block swoops up from the lower right corner, and the 2 merge together in the center of the screen. Then, several blue light streaks then fly through the shape to take out chunks of it: 2 beams form holes with rounded edges on either side, 2 more at the top and bottom down the center, 1 vertically on the left side, and 2 horizontally on the right side, creating an set of conjoined mirrored "P"'s. While the logo was forming, the colors also slowly change to a blood red color with a gold backing, which then change to a flat silver as its perspective shifts towards the right. Below "PARTNER & PARTNER" fades in below with a white outline.
Technique: CGI.
Audio: A timpani beat is heard first before it becomes a muffled synth fanfare that plays throughout the logo. A metallic clang is then heard when the 2 pieces connect and several whooshes, each at different pitches, are heard when the streaks pass through. A final drumroll is heard when the logo forms up and a 10-note synth fanfare is heard at the end, with the final note held and timpani beats continuing until the logo cuts out.
Availability: Seen on French tapes of various B-movies, such as The 13th Floor, The Chair, Double Action, Fist Fighter, Guerre Privee, In the Death Row, The Prosecutor, and The Supreme Weapon, among others.
