Background

Petrex was a Ukrainian film company based in Odessa.

Logo (November 5, 1993)

Visuals: On a black background, a glowing white horizontal bar expands and flashes, transforming into "PRETREX" in a futuristic, rounded font made up of two lines. A dot with a small hole acts as the "E"'s centre bars and "ODESSA" is next to the second "e"'s crossbar.

Technique: Backlit cel animation.

Audio: A quick rising, electronic zap alongside the opening theme of the film.
