Background

This was the home video division of the Italian broadcaster Rai.

Logo (1980s-1997)

Visuals: The screen fades onto a blue-white gradient background. A white bordered circle zooms in, and so does the next two shapes both in cyan and yellow-green-red, which form an eye. Later, various letters reading "VIDE" spin simultaneously before taking place next to the eye. Then, the text "RAI" in it's corporate font rotates and stands next to the eye. It fades out later.

Variant: On various tapes, the logo slides slightly upper to make room for the Fonit Cetra Video logo's animation sequence.

Technique: Computer animation.

Audio: An ominous tune with dark synth tunes mixed to it.

Availability: Not much is known about it as it made a few releases. It may be seen on a variety of releases of the Italian TV series Le inchieste del commissario Maigret and a few others.
