Background

Warner Sogefilms was a joint venture between Warner Bros. and Spanish film company Sogepaq, started in 1997. It was shut down in 2006.

(1997-2006)

Logo: On a black background, we see a blue (or cyan) line that descends from the top and limits "WARNER SOGEFILMS" between two lines, one which draws itself above the text, and turns blue as the line comes down. Then a simple blue WB shield (which coincidentally, has the same colors as the 2019 logo) rotates above, and the Sogepaq "S" appears below, both with some sparks. The lines shrink to fit the words' length.

Technique: The line coming and light effects.

Music/Sounds: None.

Availability: Very rare. Appeared on European Spanish prints of Warner Bros. productions as well as Sogepaq titles that were co-produced with Warner; however, nearly all of them today use American prints on TV and video, or remove them on titles Sogepaq now fully owns. Can be found on The Others, including its American release. Also appeared on trailers for films distributed by Warner Sogefilms in Spain, such as the Spanish trailer for Chicken Run.
