Background

Williams Street West was a small subsidiary of Williams Street, a production sub-arm of Cartoon Network. It originally launched in 2003 so that their creative director, Matt Harrigan could work for Viacom International and Williams Street without having to return to Atlanta constantly. The studio closed its doors shortly after he stopped working for Viacom, but was revived in 2017. However, due to the closure of Adult Swim's livestream programming in 2020, it closed again, alongside Williams Street East.

1st Logo (November 16, 2003-January 11, 2004)

Visuals: Same as the Williams Street logo, except that it says "WILLIAMS STREET WEST" in a Helvetica-like font under the building. The wavering filter and building are in reverse.

Technique: Same as the Williams Street logo.

Audio: Same as the Williams Street logo.

Audio Variations: Soundbites from a SGC2C episode are heard over the logo.

  • On "Idlewind South", random people are heard over the logo while Space Ghost says "Do you want hot or mild? We'll get half and half."
  • On "In Memory of Elizabeth Reed", a slowed-down voice is heard saying "It's in my hands..."

Availability: It can be seen on the final two seasons of Space Ghost Coast to Coast (excluding "Baffler Meal" and "Live at the Fillmore").

2nd Logo (March 18, 2017-November 25, 2020)

Visuals: On a white background, there is a tall building, which the camera zooms out from. As this happens, the text "WILLIAMS STREET WEST" also zooms out. Copyright info is below throughout the entire logo.

Trivia: The building is actually based off the Cartoon Network skyscraper (which replaces DIC Entertainment's former headquarters in 2005) in Burbank, which was located next to the Cartoon Network Studios building. It's also where Samurai Jack and a number of CN shows were produced.

Technique: A zooming effect.

Audio: A strike of the hammer from the WS logo (which comes from the Mark VII Limited logo respectively) followed by a deep synth note.

Availability: It was first seen on a broadcast on Williams Stream, one of Adult Swim’s online livestreams. Also appeared on Truthpoint.
