Background

Zhejiang Versatile Media is a Chinese film production company founded in 1993. They would adopt their current name in 2010.

1st Logo (August 2, 2013)

Visuals: In a white room with a tiled roof and cracked wall, violet and orange bars emerge from the floor. A violet wheel with colors inside forms in front of the bars, splitting them into two parts, creating a mechanism shaped like a "V." Two orange mechanisms, shaped like a "u" and a triangle, emerge from the "V." Various mechanisms appear over and inside the "u"-shaped one, forming an "e", while other triangles emerge from the triangle-shaped one, forming an "r". A part of the "r" opens, and an orange line comes out, forming an "s". A green ball that fell out of the "u"-shaped mechanism earlier turns into an "a", A "t" is drawn in front of the "a". Additional mechanisms resembling letters appear: an "i", an "l", and another "e" (different from the previous one). While all this is happening, several violet blocks fall over the "V". The letter mechanisms form the word "Versatile". Several arrows of different colors emerge from the last "e", joining together to form several asterisk-shaped mechanisms that fly away. One of the asterisks returns, and when it flies through the letter mechanisms, it turns them into flat, rainbow-colored letters and makes the blocks of the "V" come out. The asterisk-shaped mechanism, now blue and flat, is in front of the letters. It spins for a bit and then stops. The final look is the flat, rainbow-colored letters with the asterisk on top of the second "e", forming the word "Versatile*".

Technique: CGI.

Audio: It starts with the sounds of the mechanisms, after the "V" is formed, a peaceful chime tune starts. When the star shaped mechanism passes through the letters, there is a warped sound.

Availability: The logo is seen on Axel: The Biggest Little Hero.

2nd Logo (September 16, 2017-)

Visuals: The logo follows the same structure as before: in a white room, various colored mechanisms and shapes emerge, forming the letters of the word "Versatile". These mechanisms transform into flat, rainbow-colored letters with an asterisk on top of the second "e", resulting in the final display: "Versatile*". In this logo, the background is mostly white and there is a light reflection on the floor. In addition to this, the screen is further away from the logo, the mechanized version of the text fades into a flattened version of itself before the asterisks fly in, and "博采传媒" slides away from the company name to the right.

Variant: There is an international version without the Chinese characters.

Technique: CGI.

Audio: An industrial digital soundtrack with mechanized sound effects such as twisting and whirring.

Availability: The logo is seen on Axel 2: Adventures of the Spacekids and Space Kids.
