Background

Antoniana Home Video was an Italian home video distributor.

1st Logo (1985)

Visuals: On a black background, two brown letters "A" slide in from the left and the right with a line slashed through them on top, followed by two faint copies of the text "NTONIAN" connecting. The text "HOME-VIDEO" slides in from the bottom, and the logo wipes out through a box transition afterwards.

Technique: Computer animation.

Audio: A synth drone, followed by an ambient echoing sound and a 14-note ascending synth string tune.

Availability: Seen on a VHS release of The Bushido Blade.

2nd Logo (Late 1980s)

Visuals: On a black background, a silver curved filmstrip is shown sliding to the upper-left corner, and a modified version of the logo (with the text being blue with a bar below containing the black text "HOME-VIDEO" flies in.

Technique: CGI and computer animation.

Audio: A cheerful trumpet & piano theme.

Availability: Seen on a VHS release of The Jar.
